Bristol City Council requires planning submissions to include the correct forms, location and site-layout plans, fees and supporting drawings. Its online drawing standards say detailed site layouts should normally be at 1:100 or 1:200, while floor plans, elevations and sections should be black and white at 1:50 or 1:100, dimensioned, and clearly separated into existing and proposed files.
The city contains 33 conservation areas, and Article 4 directions can remove particular permitted-development rights.
